I have amphenols that will work. (mine are double contact. stock only uses single contact. I just cut off the connectors for the unused side.) I also have the battery connector... the MPC switches and resistors can be had from Radio Shack, and the pots from GuitarElectronics.com or your favorite guitar parts reseller... I used 100k pots on mine instead of 150k (harder to find)
The aftermarket 5-way rotary will work too. some can be assembled out of the guitar, and final assembly/soldering is done while in the guitar...

if you want to build your own from scratch, let me know and I can send the amphenols and battery connector out...

Im not really very comfortable with the electronics-sure I have replaced pups, caps and pots a million times, but this advanced circutry (at least to me) is a little intimidating. Im looking for something that can drop in-heck I remember seeing a lot of old MPC "converted" to standard LP set ups, where do the old harnesses go ?

Seriously I guess I should consiter building my own, but I am completely in the dark.....McBrat-can you provide pointers for the electronically impaired ?

Thanks
Dave

The 5 way and amphenols were the most time consuming. The sticky in the restoration forum has all the diagrams. You need to start with the 5 way and build it without the pup and long wires back to the control area. Then after routing the pup wires and returns through the channel to the 5 way then connect and drop in. Same way for the amphenols. I built them outside with long wires and installed through the return hole to the control cavity. There really is no way to fully drop it in.
