Greets all,

I've been rooting around for years trying to find a couple of bridge parts to
replace lost pieces on an electra phoenix guitar from the early eighties and
just ran across your page/forum in picking up this search again...

I'm not really sure what to call these pieces, they look like little brass
barrels with two set screws for legs/feet and a long screw with a spring around it.

If you have any links to resources that might help it would be greatly
appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
-Bil-

Welcome aboard Bil, from your description, it sounds like you have an early hardtail bridge, but you tell us, here are pictures of each, first up the early hardtail where the strings hook underneath the bridge:

Next, the later heavy duty brass bridge which threads the strings through the body:

Bottom line is those parts don't come up very often, and you would probably see a beatup parts donor guitar before finding the individual saddles, or bridge, on eBay. I know I don't have any just lying around, but you came to the right spot.

Do you own any other Electra's?

Welcome to the forum. You will find a depth of knowledge on this forum for your Phoenix. I do not have any spares around but someone might have something. Please post some more information about your Phoenix (and any other Electras) like how you got it, how long you've had it, backstory, etc. We also love pictures here.

 Welcome to the Electra forums and all of us Electra fans. If you can indeed help to narrow the type of bridge and part I am certain we can then all search and see whay we can find. The parts can sometimes be a bit difficult to come by but do show up now and again in seperate parts. Welcome.

Thanks to all for the replies and the hearty welcome!

From the pics above I'd say it looks like the early hardtail in the first one.

Funny, I've been strumming guitars off and on for a bunch o' years and haven't picked up terminology like hardtail, saddles, etc. I picked up guitar by ear in my teens, but am now dusting them all off and re-stringing in hopes of getting back to practice, learn some music theory, figure out tabs, etc. Guess I've got alot more than that to learn!

While I don't have any other Electras, I do have a couple of acoustics, an early sixties hollow-body, and a small bass around here somewhere...

I will get a couple of pics of the Phoenix together for ya' and there is a little bit of a story on how the Electra came my way...
