Yet another one of my famous deals.
Let's review:
-1980 Electra Phoenix X-140: 20.00 USD
-1980Electra X-280 Workingman: trade for Kamico archtop acoustic (30.00 USD)
-80's Moridira Hurricane EXB-03 Bass: 90.00 USD
-Peavey T-25 Special: 75.00 USD
For a bassist I sure have a lot of six-strings. :P

6 Basses and 7 guitars and I am a bass player too. It looks like I have the problem worse than Pheonix. I was going to go into a practial explanation untill I realized that I have 2 bass amps and three guitar amps, oh well

Man, I might be interested in taking that off your hands for you. If you have a desire to pass it on at some point.

Those are/were great guitars.

BP - Don't you have a Leslie West MPC as well?

If so - sure would like to see some pics of it.

Thanks,
RCSBlues

I've heard good things about the early Peavey guitars, if memory serves the tone control acts as a coil 'Blend' control: all the way up you're in Single coil mode (should hear a little more 60hz hum, but tone will be much brighter) and down you're in Humbucker mode, I think...

At the time these came out (late 70's..?) we all thought the body shape was kinda like a pregnant Strat, and Peavey had made it's name by offering decent gear at super reasonable prices, so it was sort of looked at (or overlooked) as a Beginners Axe, but since then I've learned more about them and have become more than a little interested in how they play and sound. Sounds like a good score.

Yeah, the coil tap built into a blend on the tone is genius, and it really makes this thing a tone monster, with essentially unlimited tonal possibilities.

Actually, not heavy as I've heard, but I'm a big guy, so....

I love it, got the nek straigtened.
Unfortunately, it needs some electronics repair.
Other than that, wonderful!

And no, RSCBlues, I do not own a Leslie West MPC, although I'd LOVE one.

Superchief:
Yeah, sure. You find me a like-new Outlaw bass and we'll talk. :P

Well, you can keep your hands on that one. I have been talking to a guy about a Peavey T-60 on and off and we finally came to a deal. It is being placed on a truck today sometime. The guitar is incredible shape, and I can't wait to get my hands on that beast. Once I get it I will post a few pics.

You better.
The big reason I went for mine was that my uncle has a T-60 and I love it.
Saw this, had to get it.
I kinda prefer the tone knob thing, the built in tap is quite a nice feature.
And I've always wanted a USA built guitar. I mean, my Precision is part USA, but not like my Peavey.
