I have been working on this one for a little bit but I'm almost finished. My daughter's birthday is next Saturday and I have to get the finishing touches put on this one before then. It is based on Fender's La Cabronita Luchador and sports a Filtertron pickup in the bridge. The body is pine with a relic'd nitro finish. The neck is an extra Japanese Fender tele neck that I happened to have around.

I bought the license plate to use as a pickguard but was worried about my daughter possibly cutting her hands on the raised letters (on the outside edges). I decided to scan the plate and print out a decal. I attached this to the pickguard I made and I think it turned out pretty well.

Thanks Ozark, I appreciate the comment on the pickguard. I've got some more work to do to finish it so no clip yet but hopefully soon. That neck really is a nice one and I'm glad it has found a home on something worthy.

Thanks yyzrondo and RCSBlues. We will know on Friday so it won't be a long wait. Before then I need to get it strung, intonated, finish the wiring, and craft a control cover for the back.

Jead, it did go well I gave it to her last night and she is enjoying it. I had a buzzing string I had to work out but a small correction at the nut and it is all good. Thanks for the comment.
