It's all you guy's fault. You want me takin shoes offa my grandyoungins feet, food outta my wife's mouth, starvin my new puppy....you want me eatin beanie weenies and drinkin tap water. You want me to worry about gettin the bills paid on time, the price of gas, lookin into government assistance for the elderly. You are all the harbingers of EGAS....you spread your addictions for ELECTRAs like stomach virus.

And poor me.....I ignorantly succumbed to your sneakin malicious suggestive insistance to buy, buy, collect and collect some more. Well, I guess you've got the best of me now, right now. But I ain't givin in totally. I'm better than that. I'm BIGGER than that. I'm not buyin another "BLIPPIN" ELECTRA guitar....until I get something decent to eat.

You hear me....I ain't. I really ain't. Ain't a gonna do it. Your mess ain't gonna work on me NOOOOO MORE. Run somebody else off in the poor house, and give me a break.

You got me to the point that I'm nearly as bad as Arthur with this EGAS stuff....and I may have to go back on the 12 Step Program for a time. Ain't any of you ashamed....just a little bit ashamed of yourselves? Well....you should be. Look what you've done, tryin to throw another nice fella into ruin with your enablin.

That's it, that's it....you're all enablers. ENABLERS, I say. Don't you feel bad now? Probably not....I think that's what you all set out to do since I joined on here. Boy....how could you do this to me. I used to be such a nice guy....now I spend soooo much of my time lookin ELECTRAs when I should be fixin the house and shopping for mashed potatoes and gravy.

Now I need to build another wing on the garage to keep these guitars in.....and cases, I got cases out the wang. Stacks of cases. What am I gonna do with all these cases? It's all your fault. All YOUR fault, and you know it. You ought to be ashamed....even if you're not, you still ought to be.

Ha......BUNCH OF HEARTLESS ENABLERS ! Just look what you've done. Shame, shame, shame.

I'll help you JD. Just send me your Leslie and I KNOW you'll feel much better about yourself. I'm sure the guilt is just eating away at you and really the best thing for you would be to give back what was so freely given to you. Heck, I'll even take those modules off your hands. I'm sure that together we can work this out. You don't have to be alone with your E-gas anymore.

Overnight delivery would work well for me, so the sooner you get packin' and shippin' the better you'll feel. TRUST ME.

I'm not doing this for me - I'm offering to HELP you. What in the world could I possibly gain by having a mint X120 and a pile of modules sitting around? Send me the guitar and after your release from E-hab we can talk about your trust issues. If your recovery is progressing well, we might think about returning the X120 to you on a trial basis. The first 30 days will be the hardest - but you can do it! Remember, baby steps up the mountain. If you don't want to be helped - you won't be helped.

Thing about Electra is, as a collector you keep redefining your vision of the essential Models. Once you have a couple of a certain model, you start to rationalize bagging all four (or six, or ten!) versions. It doesn't help that they're so inexpensive... or does it??? Raising a big glass to you JD, Cheers.

Oddly, I'm quite happy to think that I've in any way whatsoever contributed to this sort of delinquency on your part!! I mean, it keeps you off the streets and at home doesn't it?!

This here, Mike, is a very prescient comment, and I think I shall use it to justify my longing for various AP II, Westone and Vantage models, although I shall modify the tenor of the statement to fit various arguments/discussions/pleadings that are taking place at any one time.... :-D

Now.... Who's got a "Lady" going spare...?? Arthur?

On a slightly more serious note, and a note of some interest to me personally, if I spot an Electra that I desire more than life itself that is sort of close to one of you blokes..... would you be prepared to be the middle man for me? What that would mean is taking delivery of it and repacking it properly for the trip Downunder???

I'll be yer' huckleberry. Already got what appears to be a budding import/export home business sprouting up thanks to some of your expatriate mates in the UK.

What can I do to help p%$$ of the missus right now for you, John?

Even though I have posted this advice over at Mats before it remains no less true in this thread given your somewhat tenuous state of mind at the moment JD.

Come over to the Dark Side.... we have cookies!!

And as well you know I am more than happy to lighten the load by at least one more x110 whenever you are ready.

Being the stereotypical rookie to the site and the recently informed Electra owner since '83, I can see how you guys get hooked on the big "E". I always knew it was a great playing guitar that I would never part with but I had no idea of the subculture that went with it. Now I am curious to see how the other models play. Rookie question....what is "Egas"?

Egas is Electra Guitar Acquisition Syndrome. You probably have it. I believe it is incurable.

Well the first step is already within your grasp. As you already have my shipping info, well....

You get the picture... ( also desperately wishing to insert a winking smiley here )

Face it JD, we are ALL infected...... and it's all Arthur's fault.
