:love: :love: :hyper: I absolutly love my X410, Elvin, and X950 that I got from JMM. I wear coke bottle glasses and I can still tell they are near mint as they come. Great guitars. thanks JMM If he tires of the phoenix I will always be around. thanks

That seems like a pretty reasonable system you have JMM. I agree it's an art. Pictures are still worth 1000 words though. Your 8.0 could (and frequently is) somebody else's 9.0. I like to factor in other things too besides just cosmetics. Solid electronics and nice sounding pickups as well as general playability always make me think better of a beat up guitar - It's just next to impossible to quantify.

JMM...not sure if you understood my reverse humor about wanting to "get ripped off" on an X910 - I was just playing on Jack's kidding about the recent Electra he got from you that turned out to be better than you had conservatively rated it. Sorry if there was any mix up, in no way was I referencing any actual guitar deals - just wishing I could grab an X910 even if it means paying way too much for a below par example. Again, I apologize if you thought anything otherwise.

Oops! No wonder there was some confusion - I meant X910 not X190, so now you may see the humor JMM. Almost no one has ever even seen the X910 Derringer, so the chance to get one, even if in a bad deal, would still be a welcome one.

At this point almost any sighting of the infamous and elusive X910 would be worth a run at. I have only seen one that was in well played shape at best and I passed it up. Hindsight is always 20/20 as I decide to wait for a better example. I am still waiting lol.
