OK... so while I only have one Electra, I do indeed have gas. I love all of the different voices that my guitars have and I think that's why I haven't modified a single guitar I've owned. Though recently I returned an Epiphone Riviera that I was test driving cause it was getting muddy on me when I added a bit of distortion to the mix. I guess the P90s just don't work well for me in that configuration. I'm wondering what the semi-hollow bodied Electras sound like. I have a Sheraton II which kicks some tonal rear end and would like to think the Electra would be comparable. I really don't want to sell any of them , but exactly how many guitars does one man need? My wife likes one of my t-shirts that says "Love one woman......many guitars!" I tend to agree. http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o55 ... C_0017.jpg

I am also perplexed by "cackin'".

Hmmm.... Urban Dictionary may have cleared that up.

Not to be confused with the fully Hollow Slimline series... completely different animals.

It took some digging, but I found this nice thread about just that subject:

Hmmmm..... My definition of "Cacking has been a different one (thankfully). I have always known it as dying, and I think I prefer the idea of dying to filling my drawers with used food..ACK!...just to quit an obsession. So...what do you guys do besides collect guitars? I am into muscle cars (GTO), art, scale models, Harley-Davidsons, road trips, and of course guitars.

Thankfully we are on the same page as far as cacking goes. Haven't had a muscle car since my '77 TransAm... but it was fun while it lasted.
