I found my first silver coin a few weeks back. a 1944 Walking Liberty half dollar!

I have a friend that is really into it. He and his wife pretty much do it full time now that they are retired. They travel all over the country with their metal detectors and other gadgets.

They must have 20 different ones for different uses. They even have one just for using in the surf at the beach!!!

I enjoy metal detecting. I have not found much other than small change though.
