Post subject: | Treble Booster |
Hey! I am looking into picking up a treble booster to use with Les Paul-type guitars into Marshall-type amplifiers. Any suggestions/tips/experiences? Most of the descriptions of treble boosters I can find online don't really tell me much beyond how great they are. Thanks in advance. Matthew |

I use a Dallas Rangemaster I built myself. I think it sounds fantastic. It really nails that classic rock sound. I cuts right through. |

Build Your Own Clone makes some great pedal kits that are better than most anything out there IMHO. I had 4 of their pedals before I jumped to modeling and I cant say enough good about them. Check out their TriBooseter, it may be exactly what you're looking for. You can buy them as kits or complete at; http://www.buildyourownclone.com/tri.html or http://axeandyoushallreceive.com/store/page1.html The 2nd URL is their dedicated builder's site. I've known Scott for years and he's a great guy |

Cool looking site. I may try one of them when I feel a bit more confident with a sodering iron. |

Thanks for the tips! If I don't win the Keeley Java Boost I'm bidding on, I might go for the Tri Booster instead. I've never built a pedal and it sounds like fun! Do any of you use a treble boost a lot or all the time? I'm wondering what kind of settings you use and which applications you prefer the treble boost for... Thanks, Matthew |

I use it with my little Univox ULM6 (pretty much a champ amp) for soloing or just that brian mayish tone. I leave fully cranked and use my guitar volume to adjust the amount of gain. |

It's also nice in front of other fuzzes/overdrives to give em a little push. |
