Our son completed his Eagle Scout Board of Review after much hard work. We are very proud of him. He started as a tiger cub in first grade and earned his Eagle in the 11th' grade. He has made lasting friendships and is very close to the other boys in the troop. They have grown into young men together and have, went to camp Philmont twice, as well as other activities since they started their journey together. He was the first in his district this year to earn Eagle Scout. His Eagle project was to build a new cemetary sign for the community we live in. A moving van took out the old sign. Now a new 7'x9' brick sign marks the drive. He joins the 13 scouts who made it ahead of him since the troop was taken over by its current scout master. Words cant express how proud of him we are. |

That's quite an achievement. No one gets anywhere without a good support system. So, congrats to the whole slmguy family! |

Congrats to you and the new Eagle Scout. That level of scouting is one that few attain and I congratulate him on his hard work and dedication. My oldest son(the one in the band) is also an Eagle scout. My youngest is now a Life scout and is also working on his Eagle so I feel blessed to have such great kids. Congrats to you and your family.Do they have an Order or the Arrow Lodge there. My oldest got involved in the local lodge after his Eagle and is still enjoying Scouting in the Order of the Arrow. He has earned hteir highest rank also. Congrats again to all. Hard work does indeed pay off. |

In a world rife with an over acceptance of mediocrity, your son has earned an exceptional acheivement! "clink" Congrats to you and your son! Few organizations prepare you for life as well as Scouts. I was in Scouts for many years and had tons of fun, and life lessons too. One of my few regrets in life is not getting the 3 merit badges I needed to complete my Eagle Scout rank. |

Thanks guys, it has been a long but most enjoyable trek to watch him grow and mature with a fine group of young men over the years. Each merit badge gives them exposure to things they might other wise miss out on. I've seen how it sparks intrest to look at things they normally would not give a second thought to. If any of you have boys in scouting it is well worth the time and effort you as a parent will put in to it. |
