well, will not be able to practice any time soon. just shoved a slotted screwdriver about a half inch into the soft fleshy area between thumb and forefinger (fretting hand). it was a gusher!

:) I'm usually good with tools. mostly I do automotive work but have done lots of woodworking in past...

this was just another instance of me using a screwdrive for something other than driving screws :) and making a mess of it :)

I can hurt you with a spork. :) With hand tools I sometimes let my attention wander and don't give them the same respect I give to power tools.

I was actually able to practice a little last night already! I guess being the soft tissue it heals quickly. I can still feel it pull when I stretch my hand, or squeeze my thumb to my fingers... monday was better than today... still waiting to see if infection is setting in or not... at the time of the injury I couldn't clean it verywell because of the "gusher". hopefully that helped clean it pretty good...
