Had the privilige of seeing Robben Ford Friday 10th Aug at the Kitchener Blues Fest. He was simply amazing. Volker Strifler was no slouch either. Robben didn't have the Dumble; he used a new Super reverb & a twin reverb , both miked. Were talking serious tone! The set up was a Zendrive, Vox wah, and reverb pedel. I imagine the amps were cranked; I was close to the stage and it was loud. Brother Patrick on drums. The Delta Moon (from Georgia I think) opened for him and they were great too. The Blues fest is getting better every year; some headliners were; Los Lobos, Bobby Blue Bland, Taj Mahal. All of this was free! If any of you get a chance to be here in Ontario in Aug , check it out. Robben played an hour & a half and put on a great show. His records don't have the same impact as seeing him live.
