Hey guys, you most likely heard that earlier this week Lemmy of Motor Head passed away of cancer. It was sudden and was said to be an agressive type. But as expected, he took the news better than those around him. The last few days satelite radio has been replaying a tribute to Lem, with the likes of Ozzy, Dave Mustain and many many more artist in heavy rock and metal. Keith Roth of XM (Bone Yard) was host and also had fans calling in as well to share their stories. Tweeter was also full of posts from people in the music community and fans alike. Lemmy had just turned 70 years old and if you follow Eddie Trunk you no doubt saw the birthday cakes posted on tweeter in his likeness. Rob Halford tweeted in just after Eddie Trunk had confirmed the news saying " Eddie, you know lemmy would have wanted beers not tears". My wife said she hadnt realized that he was that popular, but seems every artist commenting said he was an influence on them and the fans calling in said the same. Gene Simmons even said while talking to Keith Roth "What a nice guy he really was". He played his bass loud and Proud, had a voice you could not forget. Of all the hits the band had I loved Lost Women Blues Live. Give it a listen if you havent heard it.

He will be missed.

He will indeed be missed! Though not a huge fan of Motorhead, I do like Hawkwind but the thing I liked about Lemmy was his honesty which shone through in every interview I ever heard with him.

We shan't see his like again.

Vale, Lemmy!!
