Nothing definite at all, but just had a pretty good interview Friday in Cleveland. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to see any of the city, I flew in, took a cab, interviewed with 6 people, and flew out. I even ate both meals in the airport. It made for a long day. Anyone on the forum from the area? Anyone can tell me anything about it besides it has the rock and roll hall of fame? |

Yes, and the local economy isn't what it should be so it has forced me to look outside of my area. Cleveland is about 6.5 hours away, but is a larger city for certain - they certainly have sports teams there too that we aren't large enough to support locally. |

Well, in that case, I wish you success!! Does that mean a domestic shift to Ohio when you land the position? I associate Cleveland with the Browns footie team, Alan Freed, The Drew Carey Show and Blues Traveller... well, John Popper! So there you go; a Australian kiwis' myopic view of Cleveland! |

Yes, You also have the "Cavs" (Cavaliers) Basketball and Indians Baseball - Cleveland has an amazing group of professional teams. It has the Rock and Roll hall of fame. I am sure there are some electra and westone fans lurking as well as some good amplifier repair people as well. I checked and could even possibly afford a home on the lake (Lake Erie) - although I'd be at the bottom of that range and in a small town nearby. The job will be in a western suburb. But if I got something on the lake I expect the home would be needing a lot of repair. I am not sure I would want something on the lake or not, never gave it much of a thought before. Come winter, I might NOT want to be on the lake! It is intriguing though, I have never interviewed for a location on the great lakes that I recall. It is more like an ocean or a sea. And the positive sides of being in a larger city - like Indianapolis or Houston - places where I have lived before - are there. The moving process will be a bummer - but unless I find another position I can work from my remote office, I'll probably be moving to a larger city. I imagine Cleveland is as good or better than most. I just haven't spent any time there. |

Go south. I moved from NW IND over two years and not looked back since. Down here by the smokies and it's great. Seems to lots of work here in TN. Knoxville is about 250 miles from louisville KY, just for a reference. I'll never live back north again. |

Right now in Minneapolis area on a contract. I'd love to work in TN. It is much closer for me from southern tip of Indiana where my home is located. I have went there the last two years for vacation (gatlinburg) |
