Howdy all,
Just signed up to the forum - I've been lurking around the ICW, El Degas, and Matsumoku forums for a few years, and figured I should login for real.
As is typical 'round these parts, I have a 'bad' habit of collecting vintage MIJ gear and guitars.
I only say it's 'bad' since I'm finding less time to play these days, and some of the guitars are collecting dust instead of stories.
Full disclosure - I'll likely divest of some soon, and I'll post to the appropriate board when the time comes.

The two current Electras in my life are a 2281 Elvin, and a 2247 SG (set neck).
So, not a huge collection, but fairly representative of some good stuff

The Elvin is in great shape overall, but could really use new binding - it's intact, no missing pieces, but has dozens of small cracks all around.
Not sure if re-binding makes it less appealing to collectors?

The electric oak is decent - I restored it to OEM pots-n-pups (I, for one, LOVE those old maxons).
However, it has some damage to the upper (bass side) horn.
Looks like a strap button might have failed, and took out a chunk of wood - this happened before my time with it.
Previous owner filled it in with epoxy and stained it brown. It's not obvious at first, thankfully.
