Have not seen any like these before. Maybe a little much on price, but how rare are they?Any Electra's like these out there?

I still have an Ibanez 699 - like the first link. First guitar I ever owned/bought. The only difference I can see is in the tuners and bridge - The ones on mine are the "star" tuners and the bridge has a surprisingly OK adjustable saddle. It's been a very good guitar - somewhat bright due to all the maple. Had a slight belly/bridge issue about 10 years ago that I paid to have fixed. I believe I got mine with HSC for about $200 back in '75 or '76 and the repair was just about that much. It was a close call as to whether I would shell out the money for the repair - but I'm glad I did.

As for rarity - I've only seen a handful of others. As for price - the seller is dreaming. It's been on ebay for months at that price. I'd think about it in the $350 range.

Electra was SLM's Electric line, and Alvarez was/is their Acoustic line. Good quality for the price I'm told.

Alvarez/Yairi are top quality guitars - Regular Alvarez are good for the money. My Yairi gets more playing time than my Taylor or Ibanez combined.

Awww, you're just too nice to this guy. ;-)

Of course, responding by calling him a dickweed or something similar is exactly what he wants. I'm just surprised he posted into this room. Most trolls look for maximum aggravation and choose the busiest board or room.

What on earth motivates these people? They seem to be a permanent part of the www. What's really interesting is that this post appears to have been viewed 893 times! His previous post has only been viewed 23 times.

You guys realise that there is no human involved with this stuff, right?! Well, there is originally but only to set a spam program running but I'm quite sure this type of spam is all machine driven....

I agree with tbe sentiments, though; the wankers who set this sh1t up need to be dragged along a road, face down by an angry camel.
