Gotcha! :D Well, not really-it is an Electra, Alamo Electra 2570 2X10 tube amp. I really like these Alamos-underrated,made in the USA,simple, sound great-Electras of the amp world! Here's the newest one:

Thought I would build a cab for the new Electra since I had some curly Maple here:

I really like that color. I used to have an Alamo Capri - maybe 5-7 watts. Pretty nice amp. I still keep an eye out for Alamo and Harmony small tube amps - good no frills amps. How's the vibrato on the 2570?

Very Cool Joe. I see that both of them use 6V6's, one of the most underrated output tubes. There are like 10 EL84 designs to one 6V6 I think, and those EL84's are so temperamental, get damaged easy, fall out of their socket, noisy...

That Maple looks great man, probably would look good with just about any hue to it, but that reddish brown is sweeeeet. Best of Luck with the dove tails! Mike.

Vibrato is pretty sweet Jead,I don't use it much though-usually jumper both channels to get a little quicker breakup,I think it's about 18 watts-nice playing level without ears bleeding!
I agree Mike,6v6's are my favorite low wattage tubes-very musical but gritty at the same time if that makes sense :toopid:
Picture doesn't do justice to stain-lot of amber highlights, reminds me of lava :D

That is a nice amp and great looking maple. The color works well. Just one thought though, most speaker cabinets are made of fairly acoustically neutral wood. Maple is bright and and reflective. That is why it works so well as the back and sides in string instruments.
