Swapped the neck pickup with a Duncan APS-2 (Alnico 2 Pro, thanks Thorny), and swapped the metal rings for black plastic rings (again, thanks Thorny). Also got cream covers.

Sounds a lot more like a Strat, which is just what I wanted. I wouldn't have believed it if I wouldn't have tried it, but it does sound better. Especially with the Duncan in the neck. Will be playing it out this Saturday at the Biker Church for some blues rock. Can't wait.

I think it looks better this way, amazing what a few little changes will do. :up:

Certainly sounds better for what I use it for.

NICE! I really like the look of the cream pickup covers and the black rings together - it looks very nice on that guitar.
