Sometimes I have to do stuff I don't want to do and I've reached that point yet again. I hope to find a good forum home for a killer amp. It's an early model Music Man 212-65 WITH the 12ax7 phase inverter. It's all original, been serviced and recapped in the last 6 months and is complete with locking casters and cover - no footswitch though. Almost all MM amps kick butt but these are sort of considered a cut above. The drawback? It's heavy and hard to lug around (about 60 lbs).

I'm kind of testing the water here so I'll post a couple pictures. I'm looking to get $650 plus shipping for it. If anyone wants any more pictures or details - I got 'em, so PM me or post here.

Unless my eyes are cheated by some spell it appears that amp got a Fuchs servicing?

Okay.... I'll 'fess up. Jead had sent me more detailed pics as a bud of mine here had been dreaming about an MM for ages. Unfortunately when I finally got in touch with him he could not go for this due to currently being between bands as well as his "real job" situation being in flux right now.

And I grind my teeth as I have to admit I am not in a place to snap this up myself as much as I dearly would love to. It might be hard to believe but I actually do not have as great a degree of license in buying amps as I do with guitars, if you follow me.

Someone here should seriously consider this. It is as clean as anything I've seen in a vintage MM in my memory.... and my memory is longer than a...... well, let's just leave it at "it's long"...

You have an excellent memory. This was in fact serviced by Andy Fuchs. It had some weird siren like pitch going on. IIRC it was related to a bum JJ E34L. At any rate it was due for a check up and an easy fix.

I'd be interested in your music man if you still have it. I know that was some time ago, but I'm looking for one of those.

sorry tweedeater - it's long gone. I have a 210-hd130 with pyle drivers a la Derek Trucks at the moment. Could possibly be swayed to sell that but - probably not.
