It looks like these fit on your stop tail studs to convert a Tune-O-Matic style guitar to a vibrato tailpiece. Also seems like you need to route the guitar for the springs like a Kahler. I believe the Chrome Button you refer to in the text is to cover up the holes for the T-O-M studs, possibly the assembly rests on that too... don't know for certain. Not for me, but it does look like a quality piece, Mike.

Definitely a Kahler knockoff. Les Pauls require routing to use these. Leave these to the Mexican Strat upgraders. Or someone building a custom guitar.
