I have the sad news of reporting that I have both examined and also "played" that very instrument. My wife ( who I believe I have made clear IS the player in the household ) basically refused to even noodle briefly on it.

The MGR manager at that store very cleverly got a picture of it which in no way represents what it is actually like. The overall condition rates about a 4 out of 10. It needed a new tone pot, the selector switch worked in only 1 position if memory serves, and it was easier to count where the frets didn't buzz than where they did. Missing as well was the whammy bar, a back plate, one trem spring and the nut also had some issue that doesn't come to mind at the moment.

The manager was entertaining offers but when I told him $40 he laughed in my face. When I asked what he was willing to accept and he said $150 I had no choice but to laugh right back.

It was very tempting as a project only for me and then only at about $60 tops. I check out the MGR locations around the "Cities" fairly often and the Woodbury, MN store is the only one I have had any luck in finding both quality items and knowledgeable staff.

Best stay away from this one, IMHO.
