I've have this posted on my local CL, but I'm copying the text of that posting below. Asking price is $450 paypal'd and shipped to US addresses only (via USPS parcel post, insured, with delivery confirmation and signature required). If you allow me to detach the neck for shipment, I can probably lower the overall price to around $430 because I can use a much smaller box. I can provide more pictures upon request. If I have time I'll do a video demo and walk-through of the bass. I'm in Seattle, WA. It may be quicker to email me if you're interested, as I just registered here. My email is chucke at chucke dot com. I sell on eBay as cevans999. I'm a long-time member of both The Gear Page and the Ibanez Collectors World.

The ad:

I list this as an Electra even though it's missing a truss-rod cover, because Electra stamped the model numbers on the instrument's neck plate, and this one is a 2278.

When I received this bass, the original binding had degraded and all but fallen off the guitar. There are portions of it remaining (see below, the picture taken from the perspective of the neck to the body) but the remainder has been restored by myself using an epoxy compound. I shaped and then tinted the epoxy binding to match the base color and also the discolorations of the remaining original binding. It looks quite good, even close up, and functions well. A skilled luthier, however, should have no problems removing it and doing a full rebinding, if desired. The only other things of note are that the pickup switch tip is missing and there are the usual dings of a nearly 40-year-old guitar. Also, I've not touched the electronics at all and it should probably be gone over. There is no case. The strings are new (as of about 2 months ago, with limited play time).

DO NOT BE AFRAID TO MAKE AN OFFER. This is priced to move.

Hey chucke99 - you just gave me advice yesterday re an Ibanez 2619!!!
That's an Electra you have there alright and it looks familiar too. The pictures make the neck inlays look like gold sparkly glitter. Thanks for thinking of us Electra folk. Hope someone here grabs it and welcome!
