I didn't put it in the Auction Watch section since it really isn't an auction. Nice looking but really sad what they did to it. What is it with EMG's anyway? Sorry, I've never been a huge fan I guess...

That one looks familiar. I think I've seen it listed before. I've never liked EMG's either and why anyone would mod the unique features out of a guitar is beyond me.

I'm with you guys....
EMG's are very sterile and boring to my ears. They make thrash metal riffs sound very articulate but they suck the tone right out of your guitar. I can't imagine why anyone would use them unless they play so fast (Hi-Gain) that SD's don't capture the chops.

That said, it might be easier to sell on CL (compared with SD or Dimarz) with EMG's since all the young hardcore and thrash guitarists seem to have/want them. That and it saves them the work/cost of installing active electronics themselves.

If they ever stop being "hip", they will be worthless and abundant.

That one has been listed for several years with no luck. I do not care for the EMG pups but they are good for the metal shredders out there.
