The Electra Forums

Items must be an Electra guitar or a parts that can be used on Electra guitars (or Westone, or similar) . If it isn't then it should be listed elsewhere.

1- Be clear on the item, the condition, the price (for sale items must include a price), and if consider trades you should state so for your own benefit
2- Consider posting links to pics to items (post pics on photobucket or similar free service with links to them), don't ever post to other people's pictures
3- Buyer beware - know who you are dealing with and get email, address, and a phone number (you need this anyway for shipping)
4- Consider using paypal or some service with some degree of protection
5- Consider shipping any expensive item with tracking or delivery confirmation to protect yourself, and exchange this info
6- If really an expensive item ship requiring a signature
7- If you want to make an offer on an item, contact the person via a PM or email to make an offer and negotiate prices (offline). On the same subject, you are responsible for all your records - not the Electra Forum or anyone sponsoring it or working for it - we are a volunteer organization so there won't be anyone to pull up a history of transactions. That is solely your responsibility.
8- Any discussion of price should be offline and directly with the customer, NOT IN THE THREAD
9- Ask general questions about the item(s) in the topic thread, especially if they will likely be of concern to others (but never discussions on or negotiations on price)
10- Generally, treat people like you would want to be treated.
11- If you sell something or it is no longer available, mark it or remove your listing.
12 - International shipping can take weeks and be tricky so buyer and seller must plan accordingly

We don't have any method of feedback. All transactions are at the buyer and sellers risk. Buyer and Seller BEWARE. If you don't agree to these terms do not buy or sell on this forum.

The forum has been an excellent place to buy, sell, and trade Electras and related items. Moderators make an effort to keep it that way. The Electra forums are a privilege provided to the forum members. It is a friendly place. Do not argue or discuss pricing on the forum. All discussion of price and negotiation should be done privately - either email or PM. A notice may be sent or forum access may be revoked for those that do not follow these rules. It is up to the moderators to decide on how to deal with issues as they see fit to protect the forum and it's members.

Obviously, if we know someone is a crook, they will be banned. But buyer beware dealing with anyone you don't know. We may not know them either. Please, no music store listings.
