The deal is done for €550. I have posted some pictures (not very professional) at the following link:

It has a couple of tiny body scratches and the hardware needs a touch up but it's all original including the tuners.

I'm ecstatic with my first Electra. Thanks for all the help over the last few days. Now I will stop thanking you coz you all must be gettin sick of it ha ha...

Very beautiful guitar, looks almost new, and congratulations on getting your price! Is that an ash wood body, giving that beautiful grain, with the matching headstock face?

Thanks Jeffster, I'm not sure what the wood is to be honest. I think The Electra page mentions a Mahongany finish but I'm no expert in the wood dept and my boss mentioned some other kind of wood.

I need some more advice (god I'm like a leech). At the moment I have compression and flanger MPCs but I can swap one for a Treble/Bass expander which I really like the sound of as well.

My thinking is that The compression and Treble/Bass expander would sound well and my amp has a flanger. I guess I can always buy a pedal if I really want one. What do you think? I know it's a kind of subjective topic.........

Congrats....great lookin' axe! I have an Outlaw all maple purchased from Thorny....he gave me quite a few modules to try, and mine came with a Power Overdrive and Phaser. There are also reviews on the Electra site that are good to read as well. IMO, only a few of these modules are really useful...I really like my Power Overdrive (modded by Thorny), the Dynamic Fuzz (which I purchased from him), the Phaser, and, to a degree, the Flanger....Treble / Bass and Tube Sound (I may get this one sometime) modules were OK, some like 'em more, and I think samples vary. Didn't care a whole lot for the Octave, compared to a pedal based one. The one that I'd like to have is the Compressor, I've heard good things about it. The other pedals are good to have if you wish to collect them.

Thanks RSCBlues and delighted with my new friend ha ha. Gonna keep the compressor module and treble/bass boost it makes a cool jangly tone that I like for picking.

Hours of hard work and sore fingers ahead for me I think.

the best practice i find is 50/50 hard work and sitting back and enjoying it- some guitars seem better suited for one than the other. A truly great guitar (like an Electra) is good for both.

Ya know it's really good to know that not only do I think the guitar is great but people who actuall know about Electras recognise it as a great guitar.

I'm welling up.... ha ha

So next is an Outlaw X710 in a few months when the cash flow is a little better....

I thought I would give a brief comment. The Ultima was my first "real" guitar I bought it with my very own money. 200 hundred measly dollars of it. It was worth every penny. Abosutely the sweetest guitar. I've managed to put a few scratches on her over the years, but it happens. Anyway, this thing plays so smooth, great low action. It's got some weight, so you know your holding on. Word.
