Thanks, I can't wait for the whole thing to be back up. Its was one of my favorite sites on the web. I like the new layout.

You are in for an Electra smorgasbord.
The Xman is working on another project.
Electra fans will have lots of info to savor.

Yes: sneak previews are here:

http://www.nwlink.com/~paulcl/electra/2355w/

and here:

http://www.nwlink.com/~paulcl/ep/detailcomp2.htm

All the old Electra page content will go into these formats. (these are just single page builds, don't expect the links to work yet. )

We should also get busy archiving additional material into the Guitar Gallery Electra model section as well. In the past the GG Electra section... well, there wasn't one, we went to the Electra page instead. Now the Electra page will reopen, with new format as shown, but it'll remain static at that point, as we collect new material it will go into the GG.

Recap: the Electra page is soon to reappear as an enhanced field guide, but not as a repository of new material. Contribute your new Electra pics and content to the GG.

Hey Xman, you want to include the pre-matt electras with the funky headstocks? I've been saving lots 'o images......
plus I'm trying to get a bass on the bay right now. it looks to be a short scale ....

Yes, I very much want to include those.

I should have been clearer: I really do welcome content for the Electra Pages, especially models where we don't know much, and I'd love to get control cavity/pickup back shots for everything.

"Courtesy of Squid Head"...that cracks me up. Nice job on posting the mag scans I sent in, looks like most of mine got in there (one might not be mine, don't remember an INXS scan), a Herb Ellis cover and one Vantage ad hasn't made it yet it seems. Let me know if you want me to take a closer look & re-send any additions.

Did anybody order the "Sleek and Tasty" APII poster back in the day? Just curious.

Was that a "yes", or an "I wish!"?
