about 10 years ago i took an Electra LP style in trade at my shop. well, i fell in love with it, but later fell on hard times and had to sell it as well as several others. I have been looking for this guitar for years now to replace it, and low and behold, I see a pic of it shown below. It is the second one to the left in the front, mine had leaves and vines carved into the top half of the body on the front, as well as the vine inlay going up the neck, and the clear pick guard. Anyone that could give me any information on what model that guitar is, would be greatly appreciated, as I really have every intention of hunting down another one, it was just an awesome playing guitar. Thanks in advance for any help.

The picture at the top of this thread is an old pict of my collection from the old Electra site. This is my first post to this forum. I have been an avid collector of vintage japanese guitars for around 15 years and have a very large collection of goodies including some 60 or so Electras. I have been a member of the Ibanez board for over 6 years now and -at this point-its time to talk ELECTRA !

The Super-Magnum is a little harder to find than many other Electras, I'd say. I have its SG-style counterpart, the Electric Oak. It was my first Electra, and is a very cool guitar. I've always sort of wanted a Super-Magnum to have both as a pair, but I've never been able to justify buying another LP-style guitar when I've seen them appear for sale. They have super-cool mini-humbuckers, which I've always wanted to hear. One of my friends in town has a Super-Magnum, and we like to talk Electra shop when we run into one another.

I'll be sure to post if I see one on theBay. Good luck with your search!

Matthew

I saw one like this in an Atlanta pawn shop about three to four weeks ago. Went there since one of my younger co-workers told me this shop deals a lot with musical equipment. It was in good comdition although it had some buckle scratches on the back and the pick guard was ivory. I dont know if it had a case or not, and I didn't ask about the price. I can swing by there later today and see if they still have it, if they do I'll get more info on it.

vladpire: I hope you can find one again
