I'm sure it is. It has a rise or hump in the tongue and buzzes a bit from about the 12th fret on up.

You mean an X110? or an XV1? I dont' recognize that model number. Also, what do you mean by the tongue- the truss rod cover?

I may have a neck for you, I'm guessing you mean an X110 Electra Phoenix with one pickup and a maple neck? I'd prefer to find one that matches as correctly as possible.

Better yet would be to help you fix it. It sounds like the truss rod is out of adjsutment. If you sight along the neck is it curved? (it sould be curved only slightly forward toward the front side of the guitar.)

I'm really interested because this might be the first case I've rrun across of an 80's Electra neck being messed up- usually they are so rugged that only adjustment is needed to put them to right. (I have seen a warped Aria Pro neck though, so anything's possible)

Any details you can provide would help- pictures are even better, PM if you need help posting pics.

Yes, I meant X110. Sorry about that. Rising tongue is when there is secondary relief. I have a hump from about the 15th fret on to the end. It causes the strings to buzz when fretted from 12 on up. When I sight the neck the hump is very clear. I leveled the frets today from 12 on to the end. I eliminated the problem on all strings but low E. I will do a little more next string change but for now I think I have solved the problem.
How much would you want for your neck X189player?

Let me see what I have- I believe I have at least one maple neck (yours is natural maple, right?) What is the first three digits of the serial number? It owuld be nice to get as close a year match as possible so the logo, etc is the same. Truss rod covers (or lack thereof) changed too.

It's interesting that it's an X110, as that was the most economical of the Phoenixes. All indications are that they directed the good wood to the better models, so it seems that one might have gotten a less desirable piece.

Let me see what I have before talking prices, but we should be able to work something out. Let's talk be PM about it. I owe a bunch of people stuff I need to ship, so I'd better get things going.
