I couldn't help myself. I've been looking at the Invicta for awhile. The price was right so I jumped on it.

Lars, what are we going to do with you? Is there a support group for 'Aquisition Syndrome'? But seriously, it looks pretty nice, and I agree that the price was right at $175. Couple of bucks to fix the coil splitter, and you're in business. I disagree with the seller about the usefulness of a coiltap, it instantly doubles your tonal options.

Did you notice that in three of the pictures it has the stock knobs, and in three other pictures it has the smaller 'orange' skirted knobs? You may want to talk with the seller before he ships it. At the very least the pictures are from different periods. Also, strap hangers look to be non original, no biggie.

Looks like another great snag, but I'm still holding out for a well used, beat-up Blonde Invicta, one with some character! Mike.

Mike,

No I didn't even notice the knobs were different. Thanks a bunch for the heads up. I did email the seller to ask for the original knobs if he still had 'em. He did say "you've got yourself one nice guitar". I hope he's right! It does look nice though.

Don't worry about my GAS condition. I'm really done for awhile the price was so low I just couldn't not buy it. I wish more guitars were in that price range then I wouldn't be getting into as many discussions with my wife about "my problem".

Thanks Workingman yea I think it will be a nice guitar to bang around on.

Lars
