I was thinking, maybe we can start a catalog of all -known- electra's thorugh serial number, be it from E-Bay, this site, or others.
I think it'd be a good way to keep a track of what Electras have been found, or have survivedto be seen on the internet.
I'd love to take charge of it, logging in serials and models names, etc.

I think this is a good idea. I have two Electras. The SN on the Outlaw bass was destroyed in headstock damage done by a previous owner. My Workingman is at our vacation place. We should be there around Christmas. I will send it to you then if its a go. Thanks for taking this on.

I would prefer to pm BeatenPhoenix with the serial numbers rather than posting them directly on the forum, if that's OK.

Please advise.

Thanks,

It would be cool to include more information than just the model and Serial Number, such as how original (any mods?), History (original owners), Options, purchase price, Color, Weight (I've always been obsessed with how identical guitars can vary) etc. Obviously not every guitar would have this info, but it would be cool. Also if someone takes this on, you may want to use a Database (access), as opposed to just a spreadsheet (excel) or document. I agree that posting info on the forum would get messy, as RCS suggests.

P.S. Workingman, how can you stand to be seperated from your axe?

Gathering data and putting it into a DB is one thing, but a web registry is really the way to go. There are a bunch of registries out there, that allow owners to fill in the 'blanks' themselves, being as vague or wordy as they want. Here are a couple of examples:

http://www.beegal.com/Registry.htm

http://www.guitarsbyleo.com/AUTOREG/autoreg.php3

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the web hosting that is going on. Probably some kind of sql based interactive host, or something. Does anyone have the resources and skill to put that together here?

You cna send them to me, with Serial, color, and owner. Send as much info or as little as you want. Only required info is Serial/model name.

Okay, for now it's an Xcel spreadsheet, until I find a registry host I like.
Send in your stuff, we've got three as of now.
Also, need help with capturing E-Bay listings, collect info and send it in!

How is the Serial Number list coming along?

Are you getting much participation?

Just asking.

Thanks for your time and effort,

Well, I've realized that E-bay info is a waste, so I've kept it down in not catalogging all E-Bay ads. Only very good ones.
ProEndorser was cool enough to send me 14 unique Endorsers, and I recently added my Workingman.
Yours are there too.
Going well, but would still like more. :D
