Just heard from Mortarman... he's jumping on that Vantage 12 string (finally!!) I think I've got just the box for that and I'll try to get that out (a lot of shipping going on here in Michigan) in a timely fashion. Bear with me gentlemen as I wrestle with packing and shipping, it's been a long week.

It's been a most successful event, and I would really love to see pictures of the new owners with their 'fest giveaway prizes, so if you get a chance post to this thread once you receive your 'Christmas in July' gifts, please do! Enjoy, Mike.

Just got the X175 project from the mail man. I'll send pics soon as I can. Gears already turning with several options in mind. I'm sure I will have questions and I Know you guys will have answers.

And Thanks again.

:love: :love: :hyper: I just rcvd the Vantage 12 string today. Congrats to Pro Endorser for a very professional job on the packing. It arrived complete and safe and never moved an inch inside the box. It is a real beauty and the woodgrain natural finish is a must see. The neck is a bit on the large(thick) side but I have large hands so it fits me perfect. I will clean her up and see if I can find a nut to fit the truss rod. The rattling sound inside the guitar was only the 9 volt battery connector for the electronics. She is a real gem and I will post pics of her when I get her finished and ready. She is a perfect companion for my Alvarez FD60CSB electric acoustic. I will keep everyone updated and thanks again to X189 and Pro Endorser. Semper Fi !!! mortarman120gang11c aka Arthur W. Herin

Wow, I expected this Octave Multiplexer to be big, but this thing is a MAMMOTH. It's even bigger than my Big Muff! What is it with Electro-Harmonix and ridiculously large pedals? And is this a vintage Multiplexer, or a new one? It doesn't look quite the same as the one currently on the market, but it doesn't look old either.

And the sound of it is pretty ridiculous. Playing a bass through it sends the low notes to where I can barely hear them, but man can I feel them...

I received the Alesis GuitarFX in the mail Tuesday;

In really good condition and no damage during shipment.

I tried it out last night; started with the tuner – it worked fine, rather easy to use;

I was using it with some really good headphones, so it kind of reminded me of a Rockman that I used to have and that I really miss – but this has many, many more features: "80 factory presets, 9 effects modules, each with multiple selectable effects, over 40 different effects, innumerable effects combinations."

The Alesis web site had 4 PDF manuals that I had downloaded and reviewed before it was delivered; I was waiting for it; it also has a acoustic setting which seems to work really well.

It sounded great, although I will probably give it limited use because I have other FX as well (Roland, Boss) that I use in a live performance, but when I just want to practice in the music room using headphones then I will put it through its paces;

I really appreciate it.

SLMguy got his X175 project's this week, and sent me the pictures to post, here he is with the dynamic duo:

I hope he can post some pics when they're done, I think the black one is gonna be sweet. Here are his other guitars, an awesome X310 with the 'cutout' headstock, and his fairly rare Tele Thinline with script logo:

Very Nice!! Good luck and tell us how they play when you get 'em bolted together, Mike.

I am away until Monday so I don't know if the neck has arrived. I am looking forward to getting the Peonix bass up and playing again. It has a great sound but is hard on the hands currently.

You don't like the current neck?

Oh, I love those thinlines! Great, great guitars.

Hey, a couple of words- one to those I owe stuff shipped to, many apologies for the delay, I haven't forgotten.

And one other thing -- out of all the people that registered for prizes, almost everyone got one... everyone except the last place name in the draw: Corsair!

So as a consolation prize, I'll be sending him a correct bridge for an X195, when he finally gets his stuff out of storage (I know just how that is!)

Funny, he was the only guy I had in mind for something, and when I saw he was actually last place, I saw how I could fairly give it to him by making sure there were n-1 prizes.

You guys have no idea how fun this was for me. You've gotta get some of this action next year.

The current neck has a wierd twist to it at the top three frets that I have not been able to adjust away. To correct it will involve removing the frets, leveling the board and re-fretting it which is a bit more than I have ever taken on before.

I did recieve the neck from Proendorser. Great packing and many thanks. Unfortunatly though it is the right scale and the neck pocket fits it has two more frets. I am between repositioniong the bridge or trying to build a new body and use the neck. It sure is a nice neck.

Yeah, I finally found a box for that, it was for some Four Foot trip strips we bought at work!! darn, I'm sorry it doesn't fit your bass man, but did you see those nice threaded inserts on the neck instead of just screwing into the neck wood? Pretty nice feature. I was wondering if this was one of those necks for that Bass Westone marketed with both a Fretted and Fretless neck in the case, you could install whichever neck you needed for your gig/session (if you had 30 minutes to spare!).

Talk to X189, he said that he had another bass neck floating around, maybe it's the right scale/design?
