Oh, and like some guitars, it has a smell, halfway between aftershave and fabric softener, undoubtedly from the hands that put so much wear on it.

8) :love: Man that is one beautiful piece of work. I understand why the previous owner played it so much. Glad to see it found a great home. I like the combination and like the bevels also. I agree must have been a factory custom order or a promo for a new model that never made the catalogs. Great find and congrats. Now we all will have to keep our eyes peeled for another hidden treasure. Let us know how it plays and thanks for sharing the photos and details. :up: :up:

Im really glad you got your hands on that one X189. Definately gunna keep an eye out for future strange ones.

I still kick myself for not getting the outlaw bass (non-mpc) that sold on eBay a couple of years ago.....

there are definitely one-offs out there.....
