I bet she was a beauty in her day. It is still an exceptional piece of wood but will take alot of time and care to bring back to life. Hope she makes it.

This was an Omega (set neck) X240 because of the tortoise binding I think. It's too bad when people just start sanding on stuff. This is however a great illustration of just how thin those (wildly!) flamed tops are, like a 32nd of an inch, it doesn't take much effort to go all the way through. I may snag some of the pictures to post for future generations to beware of.

Still all in all, if someone's hungry for a project, it may be worth it. Only wildcard is what kind of shape the neck and frets are in, maybe the guitar had issues before the former owner started sanding away at the top (shakes head in disapproval). Mike.
