I like those pics of the red guitar. It looks a lot better than I expected and I might actually buy one now if I see it locally. IMO the late model Westones are better than the early Electras in most respects--better pups, locking trems or graphite nut, etc.

Ahh, the Red Fretboards, very cool. Didn't they make a blue fretboard version too? The earliest Phoenix's had the nut at the end of the fretboard (like a Gibson) which I prefer, later versions had the little strip of a nut imbedded into the fretboard (like a Fender). I like the look of a non-pickguard guitar, but I think the earlier Phoenix's with a pickguard play nicer (you know what they say about opinions!). I used to be heavily into vibrato guitars, but lately (last ten years...) prefer a hardtail. Rock on mate, Mike.
