I got this a few weeks ago for 200 bucks. The neck base had a stress crack where the neck meets the body. The neck was fine though.

Put some super glue along the crack line then sanded and polished so I couldn't feel it. Can barely see it either. Sanded the back and removed the buckle rash and filled a few dings.

I had an x199 Red in the eighties but didn't know what I had so sold it for 50 bucks. My brother still has his and it's mint.

I have 18 guitars and this is my fave. This and a 1982 Aria Pro II PE-120 Limited Custom Edition that is mint.

Awesome guitar and great deal ! These 935's are some of the best Electra ever made...is it an anniversary model ? If so, what number do you have ? ( I own #1 and #160).....

I like those trans-black Endorsers. Shoot, I like all Endorsers. How much sanding did it take to get out the buckle rash? Did you wet sand? What did you use to buff it up with? Oh - and it looks like a really well done job too!

For the poster above you, it is not an anniversary. Serial 3052094. Phoenix Logo.

On a Samick I have a actually drop filled the buckle rash with super glue. The buckle rash here was noticeable but not as severe as the Samick. It actually just came out with the light sanding I did,

I wet sanded lightly with 600, then 1000, then 1200, 1500, and ended with 2000. I buffed with Meguiars #9 swirl remover but left a ton of buffer swirls. I had to buff by hand to get them out. Took a few hours. I need a better buffer pad (I used a foam pad) or I will just polish by hand in the future.

Here's the Samick I drop filled a bunch of buckle rash:

Nice job on the Samick too! Super glue always gets me nervous because it seems to be harder than the surrounding finish so I'm always paranoid about sand through. I'm also not real fond of Meguiar's #9 - I sometimes feel like it actually adds scratches. By hand it's pretty good I guess because you just can't generate anywhere near the friction of a machine. I'm using the blue stuff from guitarscratchremover.com these days and it works real well for light scratches.

In the past, I have sanded though with superglue. That was before I used a razor to level it flush with the guitar and also before I discovered sanding blocks. :)

The Meguiars was probably the culprit with the buffer. It is a bit abrasive. I will look into that guitarscratchremover stuff. Thanks
