I have a project 2228 with the Gibson-style headstock and a logo like this:

Approximately when was this made?

My guess with this model and logo would be approx 1971-1973 range. You may want to look inside the body just under the F hole for a paper label with the model number. Sometimes there is a date there.

Boy, did I goof. The headstock is actually Gibson-style. I edited down the headstock pic for the logo and forgot what the headstock was like.

New pic of the headstock:

Does that make it a pre-lawsuit?

I do not know if the slimline models can be classified as "Lawsuit" models but it would have most likely been produced somewhere between 1971-1974 range I would think from the logo. Here is the link the old electra page that has photos etc of the slimline models and production dates.http://www.rivercityamps.com/electra/2207.php
I have an early model SG circa 1971-72 that has the early laminated wood body with same style headstock etc.
The 1971 catalog and information on the early apollo slimline models can be found here http://www.rivercityamps.com/electrapag ... 215-025623
Hope this helps. These are still nice players but sometimes require a neck shim to get the action just right. Nice Axe.
