As promised - I haven't polished this or anything. It's as received. I'd say this one is as clean as it gets. There are minor pick swirls below the PUPS and a couple scratches on the MPC cover - aside from that - nada. You have to look very very caredully and in just the right light to even see signs of buckle rash. Minimal fret wear. It came in a funky case that looks like it was for a Fender Jaguar - weird shape and doesn't fit the guitar like I want it to. It's a bit too long for my LP style cases too. Anyone know of a suitable aftermarket case??? Lots of pictures but worth it IMO.

Congratulations, its sweet, neat and complete! I love those big brass strap buttons. Didn't you just sell one of these? (wink wink) The real find is a headstock thats not all banged up, that tells you right there she was cared for. Enjoy, Mike.

Thanks! - I've had 2 other Ultima's. Both were in good shape. I sold the first back in December and the second in the end of May. The first one would give this one a run for its money but it did have a few bangs on the headstock, buckle rash, and a few minor dings. Probably an 8.0. The second was average. This one is lovely - I'd have to give it at least a 9.0. They all played great. I'm a confirmed lover of any walnut finish Electra and have will power issues. Therefore, I own this one. Hopefully I'll keep it - best of all Electra worlds for me - a 3 way switch and modules. :)

(SNORT) ...didn't polish or anything..... my dyin' @$$.......

You check out those machineheads.... and TUNING PEGS!!! You can friggin' see yourself in them.

Merriam-Webster needs to print a link to this thread under the definition of "pristine"... or simply copy the .url and add "see here" after it.

A truly grand score, jead. Where was this one online?? :hyper:

This was on ebay and strangely enough I was the one and only bidder. I placed the starting minimum on 7/28 and the auction ended 8/3. I can't remember that ever happening on an Electra before - at least for me. There is absolutely no way this guitar was played with any regularity. I have to think it was one of those "bought it and stored it under a bed for 30 years" stories. I'm almost certain it's 100% original. When I get around to a string change I'll check it out.

Congrats Jead....what a great score. I'm not a fan of this style Electra, but I sure like the looks of this one.
