Picked this Burgundy Pro up from Forum member Backer60 this month, looks completely original and in very nice shape, couple flea bites but dare I say 9 outa 10 in my book. It's darker than it shows up in these pictures, and the binding has mellowed to a perfect hue which complements the Red stain. Sports this unusual mother of pearl logo on the headstock that resembles a Jack-o-lantern, and probably not a mystery why it's so rare:

'H' shaped block markers are correct for this model, and sometimes are seen on the X510 Concert Pro too. No chips on the nearly perfect headstock, this guitar was well cared for. The catalog says that the body is Mahogany on the 2266, this one has a burl or marble to it. Here's a flash picture that kind of captures the grain:

There are no finish cracks at the heal, really sweet feeling. This is the third Semi-Hollow Electra I've bought, and I swear all three have different heals on them! The top isn't as arched as my X810, and it has a foil s/n tag instead of the F77xxxx stamped on the headstock like my Maple Pro, so I have a growing suspicion that the Semi's were made at different factories. Who knows for certain? The pickups sound great despite the crackly selector switch and pots, I'll get the DeOxit out soon enough. Another unusual feature is the Trapeze on a wave headstock-era Electra. My first trap, still getting used to the after 'ring'.

No shrinking or cracks in the Binding that I can see, and the neck feels great. Action could be a little lower, but no complaints here. All in all a super addition to the collection, and no wonder that these Semi's are only going to go up in value in the coming years. Cheers, Mike.

Screaming pumpkin - ROFL.

I know I've seen that remark somewhere else here;

But that's just about what it looks like;

Good one Mike.

Great looking axe too.

Hahahaha...I will take the "Screaming pumpkin" credit....someone had said a Jack O'Lantern, but when I looked at it for a bit, screaming pumpkin sounded more like it....glad it went to someone on the forum that will appreciate it....the burl on it is very subtle, the picks here do a good job of doing it justice. It was very well loved{or ignored}, very few signs of play.....enjoy it my friend. A pleasure doing business with you. Bill
