Yay! frets are in. Replaced the zero fret I installed earlier with a taller one. need to file ends a bit and level, then put the new binding on....

binding is on, but I've now started on the process of trimming the excess and leaving the "nubs" like this...

and yes, it is a tedious a job as it looks like it might be.... especially with the low/tiny frets I used...
