The Electra Forums

I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this but I just wanted to formally announce myself. I've been lurking here, on and off, for some time and somewhat recently registered. I've had an interest in Electra and Westones for some time and have found this site, and the collective knowledge base here, an invaluable resource.

I've been playing/restoring/repairing/buying/selling instruments since the late 60's, professionally and otherwise. The one unchanging aspect has been unrestrainable guitar fascination. I'm sure y'all know what I'm talking about. I must confess to owning non-Electras as well. When I figure out the picture thing I'll post some of the ones I find interesting, or have questions about.

Last point: occasionally a BB or chat can transcend the mere focus which brought it into being and a true community emerges. That's what I most admire about what you've all created here...

Welcome METESKY! I've never figured out the picture thing. I upload to photobucket and then copy the link/img file from there into my posts here. Crude but effective - for me anyway.

Welcome as well METESKY. Jead's plan of attack is actually the easiest I've found. I have used the site's uploader service but it requires you remember the entire name of the file you are linking. My phone usually assigns a long and complicated filename which makes that option hard to work with. Plus you can post a link to an entire photobucket album as well as putting up pics.

It's very possible. I'm METESKY, GMetesky, or georgemetesky at a number of sites. I just don't seem to be able to get a fix on just one.
