just picked this up at Trading Musician in Seattle WA. It had been there for half a year at least. I've had my eye on it the whole time but never plugged it in. the price started at $469.99 but was quickly reduced to the sale price of $349.99. long story short, i bought it because sounded and played great! i dont understand why no one bought it before me. it might have something to do with it's a les paul "rip off" , made in japan, with a bolt on neck??? i've looked online but havent found a match with the headstock. similar ones but none were the same. it also seems that someone brushed a clear coat on the fret board. not sure why. it also has double binding like a LP custom. ANY IDEAS?

Congrats. Looks like a 72-74 SLM 224? Model. The index of models page will give you the exact model. The headstock varied over the years....
