I will be all over this if I can get some details on it...... Black finish? Probably re-wired because there's no 3 way...... Pickups and bridge look to be changed...... Any comments as to its originality?

check out photo #2. definitely a refin in black... most likely a paint over... based on what the paint job looks like, you could get lucky like I did with the purple x620 I had. there was no prep work done, and a few sets of rubber gloves, a ventilation mask, some rags and a can of acetone, had the paint rubbed off down to the nice poly below...

I have no problem stripping it down if I win it. No problem re-wiring either. The bridge pickup and bridge itself kind of bother me though. There's a "proper" bridge pup on ebay now - but it's $100 - I've corresponded with that seller before and he won't budge. The pickup has been on ebay for probably close to a year.... There's enough wrong stuff on this guitar to leave me a little put off by a $400 starting price.

It looks like someone installed a bunch of MPC era parts on it, the brass nut, the sealed logo tuners are not correct for this model. The Harmonica bridge is not original. Probably the rarest part on it is the Truss Rod Cover.

The one I had (in Arthurs collection now) was 95% original with a fitted case and I paid $350 including shipping. These guitars are great lookers, although playability was just so-so. I was not super impressed by the neck joint, it was more than a bit neck heavy, and it just didn't seem as refined as even the lower end Electra models. I truly think that the Bolt-Neck Workingman feel, play and perform better. These are seldom seen, and who knows if someone will bite on it, at 4 Bills its overpriced for the condition in my opinion.

Jead, I think you're way better off with that SG you resurrected! Cheers, Mike.

Agreed Mike - I've cooled off on this one considerably. I figure the Vantage FV-575 I have is at least its equal minus the Gibby style headstock and Electra name - and it's all original too. As for the SG, I still have it for sale but it wouldn't break my heart to keep it - in fact, it looks like I will. :)

I need the TRC but the rest I agree is a hodge podge of other parts put together on this one. At a much lower price it might make a good project to revive but I would passs on this one as is.

Looks kind of beat up. I would pass at the price he wants. Dare I say, if you really want a V, checkout the Gibson Faded for $700 (give or take) They are real made in USA Gibsons. And you can apply a Nice Electra decal to it! LOL/

I agree! There will be a nicer Wedge somewhere down the pike.

Lower price because I pointed out all the "upgrades" to the seller who is actually a consignor. Pretty much zilch as far as original parts go on the guitar. If it had the original pickups I'd be interested but - not as it is.
