Company Happenings
This Spring has been a busy and exciting time for us at Electra Guitars. Most notably Ben Chafin’s goal of reviving the Electra brand has finally come to fruition. Acquiring the brand was a lengthy three-year process with many twists and turns (he was also involved in a similar revival of Dean Guitars in the mid-90’s). His persistence paid off, and we are thrilled to be back!

Ben Chafin, President of Electra Guitars, with the first two samples of the new Electra Guitars Omega. We knew we had a hit on our hands after playing these. The bar was raised even higher for the production versions and we could not be more pleased with the results.

While the company is taking its first steps, there are many initial accomplishments of which we are very proud:

Our website, http://www.electraguitar.com, launched on April 17th. We have had thousands of visitors to our site and the numbers continue to increase. We want visitors to learn more about the new Electra Guitars, while also honoring the legacy of our brand with content like our history page. We believe we have a good foundation and will be updating and adding to our site regularly.

We announced our first Electra endorsing artist: Dink Cook of Toby Keith’s Easy Money Band. They are currently touring and will be great to see Dink playing his Electra’s at the shows.

Guitar players found our Omegas and website pretty fast. We started to get orders shortly after the launch. Kudos to our web team as the integration on our secure shopping page with PayPal has been excellent.

In addition to guitars, customers have asked us about accessories, and we have responded by adding our MagnaFlex Strings, Logo Acetal Picks, and T-Shirts to our site. Everything is now available for purchase, in stock and shipping.

Our Social Media sites have also experienced tremendous growth since our launch. If you are following us on Twitter, or a fan on Facebook, thank you! We have quickly grown accustom to posting information real-time, so check them out if you have not already. We are also building up our Pinterest and YouTube presence.

Guitar News
The first production run Omegas came out fantastic. Feedback from customers has also been great. While the gloss black and gloss white have proven to be popular, we will be adding more color options for the Omega in the near future. Full specs are available on our website.

Before covering our next planned releases, we wanted to make sure you were aware of our current and upcoming promotions. We are currently doing an Electra Omega giveaway sweepstakes on our Facebook Page that runs through the end of June. We have also reached agreement with Premier Guitar for an exciting joint promotion for an Omega for late-Summer!

Back to the new stuff…..In addition to the Electra Omega and USA custom models, we will soon be announcing three new guitar models and a bass at the NAMM show in Nashville, Tennessee, July 11th-13th. We are really excited about the new additions to our product line. We are not releasing all the details yet, but Electra fans will easily recognize a few of the names (hint: Invicta and Phoenix).

The bass will have extremely cool, and wide-ranging, tonal capabilities thanks to an innovative pick-up design by Electra’s Mick Donner. It will also be available in a standard 4-string and 5-string version.

Also, we believe hard rock and metal players will want to own a completely new guitar design that we will also unveil. Stay tuned for more info and pre-release images of these models.

Other
We’re currently evaluating retailers to become Authorized Electra Guitars Dealers. Some have reached out to us wanting to sell Electra Guitars, and others we are approaching directly. If there’s a local guitar store you like, let them know Electra’s back or let us know about them (we have a contact form on our website or email also works).

If you own any original Electra models, feel free to post on our Facebook Page. We’ve had some great stories and pictures posted. Fans of our page, and us, really enjoy seeing these.

Black is nice but I also like the White one, wait no the Black one, Wait no .......mmmmmm....the white one.....my egas says get both lol but budget says no way. Great Guitars I think.
