Can't find the info. Ben mentioned it to me yesterday. While it would be a longshot, it is possible it can be.

Electrafest/Westone fest 2013 will be held here in Tifton, Ga at my home on the weekend of July 20-21 2013. Will be a great time and approx. 100+ Electra and Westone models to check out and enjoy. Hope you can make it pm me for directions and info. I am located just above the Ga Fla state line and just off I-75.

Arthur was wonderfully kind to allow me to come to his House of Guitars and photograph the collection. OK... so I got a bit distracted and didn't finish taking photos (being distracted is easy in Arthur's playhouse). I didn't photograph enough of them that were on stands on the floor (or leaning against furniture... everyone here needs to send Arthur a guitar rack for Christmas). Thanks Arthur - I'll look forward to next time (and by then will have my EVH skills ready :D

Anyway... here is a bad collage of Arthur's ElectraFest 2013 host space...

Images from this past weekend's ElectraFest 2013. Images from drsyn67 (Mark Counts)... Included here are photos of Arthur's (mortarman) son (Alan on guitar), Nick (on drums) and Kevin (Warrn on bass & ponytail). Includes photos of the new 2013 prototypes from Ben Chafin's Electra Guitars company (he has two other partners - all of them are builders). The photos cannot display how beautiful the new guitars are in-person. Gibson??? junk compared to the these stunners!

Thanks for posting the photos and it was an honor to be able to host and share the Electras and Westones. Mark is correct in his statement that the photos don't do justice. the photos are great but the true beauty of these new Electra models must be seen in person as they are awe inspiring. Superior Quality build and hardware etc as well as awesome sounds. Great Work for certain. Was a great time this weekend and a pleasure to meet everyone in person and via the online chat and feed. Hope everyone had fun and enjoyed it and if you could not attend then please send me a pm with you r name and info and I will enter your name in the hat for the absentee prize drawings. Thanks again for posting the photos . Arthur aka mortarman120gang11c

The new Phoenix bass is excellent. I will have one eventually, no doubt about it. I just hope it comes in that trans orange with maple fretboard like the Spectrum H! I look forward to seeing the 5-string version! And please make a production 6-string! I like having that high C! Just don't make it as crazy wide as Dink's please!

Edit: Bonus points for a 24 fret version!

Looks like another stellar Electrafest. I couldn't catch the stream, so it's great to see the pix. Your storied collection is most impressive, MM. Makes me proud to be a lurker in a Forum that can host such a fantastic event. ;-)

Gotta get me one of those white Omegas... or maybe the one with the tortoiseshell inlays, or...

I caught the very end of the streaming session (logged in as a guest so could not vote). I could not chat my vote for the guitar. But I am biased here, and that bass was a stunner. And I would have loved to have been there and check out all the vintage models I haven't had my hands on, as well as the new Electra Guitars. I never met Ben in person, but know some people that know him and they only have good things to say about him. I hope to own one of the new ones eventually in addition to the vintage ones. I'd like to do a review of it and post it on TGP (the Gear Page) as well, another place I hang out at. I think they might go over well there as there are a lot of people that played electras "back when" and would be delighted to hear they are being made again.

Thanks for a good show! That really takes a lot of commitment, time, and money to pull this off. Thanks MM! And WHAT a collection too. Thanks to those that participated. Wish I could have been there in person.

Was great to attend and see the new Electra Guitars along side the vintage models. Regarding the new Omega color options announced at NAMM - Flame Maple, Ceruse, White w/ Gold, Black w/ Gold - should be available end of August. Also, the shipping version of the Flame Maple will have tortoiseshell fret inlays that match the pickguard, etc....(not the brown ones pictured here).

The ETA for Phoenix H, Phoenix S and Phoenix Bass is Oct/Nov.

Thanks,
Gene

Will the streamed coverage be available to watch anywhere? I missed the whole thing, with work and church and getting ready to move!!!

I did do some recording of the live feed from the event but have not been able to access it and it does not show up so may be a tech issue on this end. Warrn and Mark Counts have photos so keep an eye out. Thanks to all again for a great fest.
