Not mine. These don't come up very often, and it's reasonably priced, the days of the $400 Endorser are long past gentlemen. This one has an issue at the neck set, and seller curiously doesn't include any close ups. I have seen this one listed before, and frankly I can't tell if the neck has been reset or if the finish has just chipped away from the neck/body joint. Having owned four, and played quite a few, there is a very common gap that occurs where the neck meets the body. In my experience, this is totally cosmetic on the ones I own, as if the Mahogany and Maple shrunk slightly differently, causing the finish to separate. You can ask seller for closeups of the area, not sure if he will comply as he is already getting offers for it.

Other than that, it looks pretty straight (original) and fairly clean, I've seen (and own) much more beat up examples! The pickups have probably been out, as they are installed in the same direction (usually the bobbins are opposite when installed). All in all a pretty respectable piece, go crazy guys, Mike.

Hi! I am the seller of this guitar.

Quite honestly, I do not know if the neck has been reset.

Closeup here:

It plays with no issues and I do offer a 14-day return.

I wonder about that neck. Would like to see close ups of the the joint and also where the fretboard meets the body.

Interested how the bridge pickup ring is slanted, a factory mistake. I don't think it's just the photos, it actually appears to be slanted.

These are gorgeous, solid, thin necked and big fretted guitars. Love mine!

Man if I didn't already have one I'd jump on this. Buying direct is what this board is partly about - so if you ARE looking for possibly the finest electra solid body made in the Matsumoku era (the signs are there that this model is Matsumoku made with MMK pickups and the small dot inlays) this is likely one of those deals. They just don't come up too often. Almost all guitars that mix neck and body woods with set necks will crack at the seam over 30 years. The chip at the joint is just what was said up above, as I have a vulcan that is MUCH worse from the same thing. I'd give it a "HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"

I don't like how it's assembled, looks a little haphazard as much as I hate to say it. With the pickups slanted and such. Not a great quality control on this one. :(

You have a good eye. I do see what you are talking about, but most minor tweaks like that are pretty easy to take care of - a large proportion of guitars don't satisfy me on such details. Part of this can be handled by just slightly moving the pickups around, and can result of them being swapped in and out, which I think these appear to be stock but may have been taken out and put back in at one time (I think it was mentioned about this one or another one that the one of the pickups were flipped. You can adjust with the pickup tabs, with the mounting screws (slightly) and I don't sweat that much as this isn't that far off. I recently had a Les Paul that was much worse.

I have had guitars that required new bridges or at least saddles so the strings could be centered (I am talking $1-2,000 guitars). Another I actually filed the inside of the pickup ring to shift a pickup slightly. You'd have to know to look for it in order to find it, but I have had to do this before (it was not an electra BTW).

I think that will probably be classified as a "score" as long as nothing unexpected shows up. Good luck and report back. Sure looks nice from here.
