Hey all, been away for a few years. Last time I logged on I think I was 15, and hadn't even gotten my first car, or job, for that matter. In fact, I stopped by after realizing it was on July 18, 2009 that I received my Futura. I can't believe I've had it that long. And although my collection has grown tremendously since then (at it's height, 55 guitars/basses, currently around 40), I've come across few Electras. I've ended buying every one I've seen...all 2 of them.

That said, here's what you see!

-X-630S Phoenix bass (Serial number 011483)
-X-185RD
-X-140S Phoenix (Serial number 011363, my second guitar and first Electra!)
-X1-PW Futura (from Electra Fest '09, about to be torn down for restoration)

Thanks guys! I'm sure sometime soon I'll post a more complete picture of my guitar collection overall, there are plenty of Matsumokus, and besides that mostly MiJ stuff in general.

Weird. I have 7 Electras and of those 7 I have all 4 of those!

All these great Electras are getting the old egas a burning again.............. Nice collections guys.

This one is a little perplexing, it is most likely a PCM, but it is slightly different than other known PCMs. There is a small chance that it is a pre-catalog SLM, but I do not think that the model number 2249 would apply to this one. I am leaning towards a PCM model due to the fact that there was no documentation , no catalogs, no advertisements for the guitars that they supplied.

What does the writing on the neck plate say? What nut was originally on this one?

Very cool and great looking Electra. From the open book headstock and logo script style I would also lean towards a PCM model( an early one prior to 1976). The script logo was known to be found on several of the PCM models but could also be a SLM. Very nice. Thanks for the photos.

Nice looking axes; they are getting harder and harder to find.
