Hello, I have an unknown Electra guitar that I am trying to find info on. I have contacted the official Electra website about it and they sent me here.

The only identifying mark is a stamped number of 012016 on the back of the headstock. The body looks like an X960 (Vulcan style body) MPC but it does not have the cavity for the cartridges on the back. It does however have the four knobs in a row with 3 switches below.

The owner says that at one point there was a preamp board with 2 9v batteries. But they were taken out a long time ago. Did this guitar come stock with a preamp or was it a custom job done by a previous owner?

As I said any info on this, would be genuinely appreciated.

Thank you.

Looks like you are talking about the X250. Take a look here. http://www.rivercityamps.com/electrapag ... 106-000720

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! That's exactly what it is!! After some more searching I have found the wiring diagram for it and after more searching I found that it did come stock with the "Active EQ", which is even better!

Now, is there any way I can acquire this active EQ board or is it lost forever? Also, one of the knobs is completely stuck, it won't move in any direction. Any help or thoughts on this as well?

Thank you again.

Active EQ boards can be built if you're into that, the stuck knob is an easy fix. Go get some De-Oxit spray and do this...

May take a few times, don't spray too much in there. Maybe put a paper towel in the cavity around the pots to soak up the extra spray. Spray it and work the knob lightly. Eventually it should come free.

If it won't free up you may be able to just replace the pot.
