Howdy all,

I'm a longtime guitar player/tinkerer/trader etc and I came upon this website while (whilst ?) trying to ID the maker of a guitar's wiring harness.

Since this harness has CTS pots I am guessing that this control circuit is US made and is from circa 1978 according to the date code of the potentiometers. Perhaps some of the forum members here would know what it came from?

I think I bought it from a guitar repair guy in the 90s and never used it. It would be nice to know what guitar it's from since I intend to sell it. Of course I'm familiar with the Electra MPC models with their built in effects but I think that this is something else. I've also owned a few guitorgans and Cort synth guitars in my time btw :).

I tested the rig out and its works fine. It has a compressor and a swishy phase shifter. Since there is only one input from a pickup perhaps this rig was from a bass? Questions, questions...

I also have one module that might be from an MPC

Gretsch Super Axe.

The single input would have come from the pickup selector switch. I think you could sell it on eBay pretty easily. History shows one similar having sold for $45, but yours may be in better condition, but less complete. Good photos and great description would go a long way towards maximizing your return. I hope you don't have too much money tied up in it.

And yes, the third photo is an MPC module. Almost certainly a phaser, assuming there is a little switch mounted on the end of the box along with the edge connector. Phaser is the only module I recall seeing in that type of box.
