I have found a very nice Electra X610 MPC bass at a local pawnshop for $89!!!! It even has the phase shifter and frognose modules, and is in complete working order. Only a little chip on the headstock. A solid 9/10 condition. Not sure if it has a case but I bet it does. Going to get it tomorrow! Yay me. Follow the link to photos.

definitely a great score!!!

There's a pristine Electra Tritone/Solid Sound Bass at the local guitar shop that I was gonna grab, but I Think I'm gonna pass now...

$89! That's definitely the best Electra steal I've ever heard. The modules alone are worth that much, depending on the day. I'm jealous!

My only regret is that I can't keep it. It's hitting ebay tomorrow because I need the money badly. I've been looking for a cheap bass as well! This ain't no cheap bass! Maybe I can sell my Tascam instead. Hmmmmm.

Hmmmmm. With a score like that I might be hesitant to let go of it. I hung on to my guitars through a divorce and even bankruptcy. The few hot dogs they would have fetched in the short term could not make up for the reget in the long run. In that respect I was wise beyond my years then, and today I am grateful. I didn't starve, and those three guitars are hanging on the "sacred" wall in front of me right now.

Maybe it won't hurt to give the decision some thought before acting?

I really wouldn't sell that. You're never going to find a deal like that again. Ever.

Of course, it's really none of my business...

but...

you should hold onto it.

:D

I hear you guys and I agree, but my wallet doesn't. I already sold it to the guy that bought my Invicta X260 last week. Got $250 for it. Gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. Thanks for the kind words.

Well the guy that made me the offer knows I'm in pretty good financial straights now so I'm confident he'll let me off the hook or that price. I sure hope so anyway. If so it will be on ebay tomorrow. I feel like an idiot sometimes. I had no idea what it was worth, and was using the one on ebay as a guage, not figuring it would go higher than $300.

dang!!! makes me want to go pick up that Electra TriTone Bass at the Guitar shop for $275.... but I really want a x-620 like that one....

I'm guessing the MPC had a large affect of the price though....

You should have posted the price before you sold...everyone here would have topped $250...myself included :-(

:o :D

I guess it is probably good that did not happen as since I shut down the for sale forum I may have quietly and politely removed it and the thread may have died off. All's well that ends well I guess.

Don't feel too bad. If they were short scale I'd probably be drooling at the chance despite myself and the guidelines.

I would love to have a CSB, but never have enough $ to catch one on eBray. I'd be willing to trade my Knight warrior for one but the oportunity has never presented itself. The short scale would suit me since I primarily make unpleasant noise with a 6-string.
