my bass was missing the front pickup cover and the bridge/pickup cover (ashtray) when I got it....

I grabbed a chrome front one off eBay, hoping it would match up with the holes on my bas, and it was a perfect match... the holes in the cover could have been a little bigger, but otherwise, fits well and makes a good thumb rest...

I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna put on the bridge cover. seems like it covers too much... plus since I've got a badass bridge on, I've seen some covers on eBay that say they won't work with the badass.

Which reminds me...

I've been meaning to follow up on my post about having the same bass branded as a Matao and not liking the pickups. I took a closer look once I got home that day (my memory was hazy since I don't really play bass all that much) and it turns out that both the pickups are small, like Telecaster neck pickup sized, unlike the larger, HB-sized pups on your Longnecker.

Anyway, I still don't like how they sound. Once I get all my guitar issues worked out, maybe I'll try swapping in some better pups on the bass.
